Blueberry Index is an independent guide to the best blueberry muffins in New York City.

We started this project after one too many "best of NYC" lists that felt like ads dressed up as journalism. Muffins deserve better. So do you.

What we do

We visit bakeries, buy muffins like regular customers, score them with a consistent methodology, and publish the results. No sponsored rankings. No pay-to-play placements.

What we don't do

• We don't rank restaurants overall — only the blueberry muffin.
• We don't guarantee we've tried every muffin in the city (yet).
• We don't take requests to bump scores.
